Six Flags

So Kenzi's birthday present from Gramma B was a trip to Six Flags. At first Kenzi did not quite know what we were talking about but very quickly realized when we pulled into the parking lot. And then it was on! We walked in and the first thing she saw was the Joker to which she was not at all okay talking to him. And was really afraid. So a very nice park personnel said all you have to say if someone comes up to you and wants to talk to you that you are afraid of is "Go play somewhere else, Joker!" To which felt to the freedom to continue walking around the park. Thank you Six Flags staff!

First up was Daffy and Sylvester.

Next we saw Green Lantern! Kenzi was very excited, as was Carter! And Green Lantern liked their shirts. That is why both Carter and Kenzi are doing the Flash pose with Green Lantern.

The first ride we hit.

The big kid ride that Kenzi rode by herself. She even made a friend on the ride.

So we went on the Aquaman ride. It literally is a ride where you climb a little bit, curve around and then drop. and by the end of the ride you feel like you have taken a shower with your clothes on. Though Carter and Kenzi waited on the bridge above the ride and got even more wet. It really was okay, as it was a warm day and it did cool us down!

Carter and Kenzi with Batmobile!

Kenzi's second time on the bouncing boots. My first! Those boots really bounce!

Carter and Kenzi on a ride that Kenzi tried to convince me to go on and I passed. This boat turns while going back and forth. I am sure I would vomit!

Us riding in a car that Kenzi drove. There were times where we felt like we were putting our hands in her life! She LOVED it!

I actually had to pressure KEnzi in sitting in this chair! I think this does a lot towards putting Kenzi into proper size perspective! She doesn't look so big now does she?!?!?!?!?!
We had so much fun! Thank you Gramma B. You ROCK! Love ya, Kari

Happy Birthday Carter!!!!!

So for Carters birthday we decorated the house, had his favorite dinner, a three layer cake, and gave him presents. I think his most favorite and he will have to correct me if I am wrong, was Kenzi wrapped a plastic pumpkin , all by herself. Inside was a plastic hot dog. She did inform him that it was a candy hot dog. When Carter thanked her for the pumpkin present, she said "Your welcome. Now I should probably put it back in my kitchen." To which Carter and I died. Guess the present had a shelf life! Anyhow, we had a fun day getting ready for daddy to come home. Happy Birthday, babe. We hope you know that you are very important to us! Love you, Kari.

Batman Birthday Party...

I am very sorry for the long slide show, however, Kenzi had a Great Birthday party! When her friends got there, they put on there capes and masks (the capes were a bigger hit than the masks)! We then welcomed everyone and started with a game of Batman toss. Then Spider drop, which everyone seemed to be really good at. Then we had a rousing game of "Batman says" and "Batgirl says". "Batman says" kept getting suggestions, like, hop and flap like a chicken! And then we had a special visitor! Batman himself came to the party! He played Duck Duck Goose with the children, helped to sing Happy Birthday, and looked on as Kenzi opened presents! Apparently Kenzi enjoyed getting her picture taken with Batman. After she was done she told Carter "Daddy I got my picture with Batman. I want to put it on my blog!" It was funny when Batman showed up, Kenzi was very timid but very respectful. When he got there she wanted her cape and mask on. And of course she wanted to sit next to him whenever possible! When I asked what her favorite part was she said the presents, cake, games, and with some prompting, Batman. Hopefully everyone that came had a great time as I know that Kenzi did! Thank you to Rusty, Julia, Briana, Jake, Braden, Wade, Isabel, Haley, Abby, Ty, Jilian, and Sophie for helping to make Kenzi's birthday special! Later! Kari

Carter's favorite pictures are the ones with the setup in the Garage, penguin in the background (surprise!), and Kenzi looking at the table of goodies!

Kenzi's Birthday fun...

So the dreaded day has come where I realize that my baby once again is not a baby! But here are some highlights from her day! Enjoy!

Carter and I decorated her tent that we just put up in the living room. We were going to get up before he to video her seeing it for the first time. We woke up to "Hey daddy, how did you do my tent?" So we had her come in the room I got up to get the camera and Carter was telling her the she gets to have a special Birthday donuts. (Ones with sprinkles and gummy worms. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar. Sorry Becky for sending her to preschool like that!) To which Kenzi's reply was "DUDE!"

Opening presents from grammas and grampas! We were more than happy to open presents!

Having cupcakes at preschool with her classmates. When I got there she told me that her friends forgot to sing happy birthday to her, to which, I said that they were probably waiting for the cupcakes.

After cupcakes she got to play a little longer with her friends. I really think if we had a trampoline she would never get off of it!

We met Sophie and Aunt Keri at Story park. She had so much fun playing and making new friends.

To cap off the day, she played Cosmic Family on the wii with Daddy. She really didn't want to go to sleep, but said that her favorite part of the day was the cupcake. Sounds about right!
Happy Birthday bunkin, bug-a-boo, fluffy, silly, goofy, Princess, M&M, George, Phineaus, Kenzi!

Uncle Ken's Birthday/Housewarming...

Well we started our trip to Gramma B's by surprising Uncle Ken for his Birthday/Housewarming party. He did seem genuinely happy that we came. I actually had Kenzi go to the door without me. Uncle Ken "Hey, how are you? Where is your mom?" ME: "We are not joined at the hip!?!?" Uncle Ken: "Yes you are!" And that is true. I love the group picture we got. I think that they will like it too. We had a good visit with family. Kenzi had two sets of cousins to play with. She had a great time! There was a funny story that actually involves my cousin's kid. Ken welcomed everyone out and asked if we could have a word of prayer for the food. So both Sheri and I got our perspective children. I told Kenzi it was time for prayer and she folded her arms. Sheri tells Paris that it is time for prayer and Paris proceeds to scream NO!NO!NO! I started cracking up. I almost thought her head was going to spin around. They finally get her calmed down and Ken says the prayer. My cousin Sheri later was telling me that she did not understand it because Paris goes to a Methodist Preschool and they have prayer everyday there! It is so funny what kids do and when they do them! We had a great visit and more posts will follow in regards to our trip. Later! Kari
